Job Description

As a member of the Promotional Spend & Rebate team, your primary responsibility will be to analyse and process promotional invoices. These invoices relate to claims for promotional funding across a range of brands represented by SHS, including Terry’s Chocolate Orange, as well as our owned brands such as WKD and Shloer. A key part of this role involves obtaining the necessary invoices and documentation that contain relevant information to enable the validation and settlement process to be carried out efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

  • Assist the team by using the High Radius system to register promotional invoices and supporting documentation, assigning them to the appropriate owners and resolvers within agreed timelines.
  • Work with customers to ensure promotional invoices are raised correctly, with full details provided and sent to the correct destination. Influence customer claims in terms of frequency and volume received.
  • Support the validation of promotional invoices using various tools, business information, and any appropriate backup documentation provided.
  • Assist with rebate settlement of promotional invoices and efficiently send recharges to Brand Owners in the correct format.
  • Maintain key data from each Division and their respective teams to allow for accurate distribution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers, liaising with account managers, business managers, finance teams, and other shared service departments.
  • Maintain a customer and Brand Owner focused approach to ensure the highest level of service is provided.
  • Oversee promotional invoices to be paid to customers, ensuring all checks are completed before payment proposals are submitted.
  • Help keep customer ledgers clean and up to date.

Experience/Qualifications

Essential:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English at grade C or above.
  • Minimum of one year’s experience working within a finance setting.
  • Proven track record of working in a fast-paced and complex environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset.
  • Strong attention to detail and an analytical approach.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience using SAP.
  • Experience working within the FMCG sector.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
