Shift Maintenance Engineer

Job Description:

We are now looking to recruit dynamic self-motivated team players to join us within Engineering. You will be supporting the efficient and smooth running of all site processes through planned preventative maintenance, fault identification and innovative, pragmatic solutions and a focus on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

• Supporting the efficient and smooth running of all site processes through planned preventative maintenance, fault identification and innovative, pragmatic solutions and a focus on continuous improvement.
• Responding to breakdowns within the plant and ensuring any downtime is minimal and implementing appropriate, cost-effective solutions.
• You will carry out planned preventative maintenance on site.
• Participate in the expansion of existing and installation of new, machinery, you will identify potential weaknesses in equipment and processes and recommend solutions.
• In addition, you will provide cover where needed in a variety of roles, ensuring the smooth running of the site.

Experience / Qualifications:

Previous experience in a similar role.

Proven track record in fault finding and problem-solving.

Competent with pneumatic systems, inverter drives and electrical systems up to 415V.

Good workshop skills (ideally TIG welding) and strong working knowledge of health and
safety.

You will ideally be an apprentice served within maintenance engineering and have
experience with PLC’s, consistent with basic programming skills, and the ability to
design simple control systems incorporating PLC units.

Additional Information:

Hours of Work: 39-hour week over a 3-shift pattern (5-day working week).
