Job Description:

Manage and drive the successful scale up of kitchen recipes to full production. Provide day to day factory process support. Provide lead process support to M&S and to over customers where delegated.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Manage; oversee and conduct trials for new and revised products working on projects
  • o Plan and organize trials with planning to meet critical path.
  • o Plan and organize trials with production to maximize efficiency of trial time and maximize 1st time approvals.
  • o Set up trial recipes using handover information to create closest match possible on scaled up recipes.
  • o Organize ingredients and packaging for trials working with purchasing where necessary on new ingredients etc.
  • o During trials accurately record data and complete trial reports including technical parameters and weight data.
  • o Circulate trial reports
  • o Raise and manage key issues which are affecting success with manager and wider team.
  • o Take responsibility for problem solving on allocated products/ trials.
  • o Take photos for quality standards.
  • o Write detailed, accurate and fit for purpose quality standards.
  • o Collect and send samples
  • o Keep launch files up-to-date by filing key data
  • o Assist in setting up new quality standards for product launches
Manage the process inputs on pre-productions and 1st productions to meet customer expectations. o Organize customer visits.o Lead process discussions.o Coordinate with wider team to ensure successful outcomes with product and customer.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • - Educated to degree level in a relevant food-based discipline
  • - Ability to cook and present food to a reasonable standard

- Self-motivated

- Good organisational skills

- Numerate; competent with percentages and able to work with numerical data

- Strong IT skills and familiar with Microsoft Office and use of web based systems
