Job Description:

SHS Drinks Division is seeking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join the finance function in ARW for a fixed term contract of 1 year

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Ownership of the preparation and completion of monthly flash accounts, monthly management accounts and quarterly deep dive packs
  • Assist with the management of P&L
  • Ownership of monthly reporting on the sales, cost of sales, promotional spend, logistics and overheads with supporting analysisInventory reporting analysis
  • KPI reporting on a monthly basis
  • Management and maintenance of the balance sheet, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations of key accounts specifically in areas of stock, debtors, promotional spend, creditors and other accruals
  • Ensuring key monthly and quarterly reporting deadlines are achieved
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual audit file
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual budget
  • Liaising and encouraging dialogue with other Group companies on improving/streamlining current intercompany processes
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

Experience/Qualifications

This is a significant opportunity for an individual to develop their current experience within a dynamic and expanding division. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following qualifications and key skills/competencies:

Qualified at a minimum level to one of the following

  • IATI qualified and with at least one year's financial experience in a relevant finance environment; or
  • Degree qualified to at least 2:1 Honours level in finance, business, accounting or other analytical degree and have commenced their qualifications for ACCA (skills Level) or CIMA (Operational Level) and with at least 1 years finance experience in a relevant finance environment ; or
  • At least three years finance experience working in a relevant finance environment

Other requirements:

  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in the use of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)with ability to present to both finance and non-finance management

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience of Xero
  • Experience of working in an FMCG and/or manufacturing environment
